Mind Cracks are cracks in our logical thinking process that either allow us to have creative insights or cause us to make errors in the decision making process.
While there can be both "good" and "bad" mind cracks this site will deal with those cracks that are made by youth protection workers which lead to decisions which put children at risk.
I am a retired social worker who has worked in this field for 35 years and have personally witnessed (or made) all of the mind cracks that I will write about.
I will also write about my other experiences as a worker as I journeyed through 35 years of attempting to navigate the youth protection system.
I invite other workers to submit other mind cracks or to comment on any aspect of this project.
Please note that this is a work in process and that this site is still very much under construction so please check back often.
